Disable Boost Target Dampening

Disable Boost Target Dampening

Disabling Boost Target Dampening is located in the Quick Enables tab and rids the system of the excessive dampening and turbo lag introduced from the factory that causes a boost target ramp up to your target values when you go full throttle. On manual transmission applications this means the dampening and target ramp up after shifting gears is removed with this option.

Without boost target dampening the system will always be targeting the boost target or boost by gear limit values if they're set lower than the boost target. This means TC Target Pressure in logging will never be atmospheric pressure even with the throttle closed.

With the throttle pedal at positions less than 15% the boost control system will not try to hit the targets, so light load cruising is still very much functional. Anything over 15% will activate the boost control system to attempt to reach the current target boost level. Boost levels and power output are still controllable through throttle position, but as RPM increases the rate at which the target boost level is reached will increase even without applying a lot of throttle.
