On platforms where the option needs to be enabled you'll find an enable checkbox in the Flex Fuel section. This may mention the input pin, or let you choose the input to use, depending on the platform.
S2000 uses E1 - Secondary ECT Input.
P2185 Secondary ECT Sensor should be disabled to avoid codes related to the sensor input.
Three base adjustment options are available for Flex Fuel control based on ethanol content (Ethanol %):
Fuel %: Adjusts fuel injector delivery quantity based on ethanol content. This is typically not adjusted from the default values shown.
Ign Adj: this is an over-all ignition adjustment based on ethanol content. We recommend leaving this at zero and using the 3d table (see next section).
PSI Adj: This adds to the boost level target (for turbocharged applications with PWM boost control using a boost control solenoid).
The KTuner Flex Fuel Support may include a three dimensional table for ignition adjustment. Find this table in the main Tuning Map list as “Ethanol Ignition”.
This map adds ignition timing to the base ignition table based on MAP and ethanol content. This is particularly useful to add ignition timing only under high load and not under low load conditions (idle, cruise, etc).
