Thank you for creating this site- y'all came highly recommended!!!
Just a bit of background- I'm 56, have grown up wrenching on all of my cars over the years (and worked in a restoration shop for a bit) and am comfortable with most mechanical jobs, but electrical has always been my kryptonite
I have an '06 Element with almost 300,000 miles and am hoping to replace my K24a4/4 speed auto with an '06 TSX K24a2/5 speed auto- here are my questions:
- Is it possible to transplant the TSX 5 speed auto if I use the TSX ECU and TSX engine/trans harness, or do I need to use the stock 4 speed auto and reflash the stock ECU?
- If I do need to use the stock 4 speed auto, are there any kits you recommend to rebuild/improve its' performance?... I do tow a light trailer occasionally and don't have a lead foot, but REALLY enjoy engaging the VTEC solenoids

Re: 06 K24a2/5 speed into 06 Element questions
I found a thread on the Element owner's club site about a Facebook thread from 2019 where someone did a K24a2/2007-later Element 5 speed auto swap and used an RSX tune? Anyone have any info on that???
I would really love to do this swap, but don't want to make any mistakes- I'm a middle school band director on a limited budget

Re: 06 K24a2/5 speed into 06 Element questions
The two transmissions aren't compatible with each other and we don't support the TSX AT on the older TSX, so I unfortunately have no suggestions for you. If someone managed to get something compatible using Element AT you'd have to rely solely on any information they posted about it.

Thank you for your response!
So am I okay if I use my stock 4 speed with your KTune for the '06 TSX?

Unfortunately what you're asking about isn't something I can recommend or offer advice for. Best case scenario you have a vehicle that shifts earlier than the engine normally would, so you're not taking full advantage of it.
Re: 06 K24a2/5 speed into 06 Element questions
find steven crump on the facebook element mod forums for more information. He has transplanted a 5speed auto 2008 or above into his 2006 element. WITH a 2008 k24a2. he used the RSX mapping. I plan on doing this as well.
