AC Switch to activate onboard logging

'01 DC2 with a K24 swap using the kswap ecu.
Everything is working and the car runs awesome. I do track the car a lot and would like to collect logs randomly depending on the track and condition. Since I do not have AC installed, I figured I set the AC switch on the dash to active the onboard logging. However, no mater what setting I choose for activation, it doesn't start logging. When I set it to always on, the car logs onboard no problem. Setting it to the AC Controller to AC Multiplex has no affect. Do I need to jump something on the AC compressor harness/plug since I don't have an AC compressor plugged in?
Craig - Whos hoping to not need a wired switch for logs
