We have not found any reason for a reset.

An ECU reset can't break an engine.

I too have noticed this issue with multiple ecu's and codebases. It feels like the ECU resets for a moment, then all is well. It's happened at idle, part throttle and full throttle. No rhyme or reason to it. Finally I caught the issue on the dyno one day. The AIGN jumps to 60degree for an instant for no reason, then returns to normal. This results in what feels like a reset. In the case of the attached datalog, it happened at full throttle on a dyno run, and the engine bucked for just a moment along with the relay click under the dash.

This is more of an FYI post as it is not really reproducible. I have visually seen it when using realtime on PRB and without realtime enabled in codebases without this feature available.

If you're getting a reset unexpectedly I would highly recommend not leaving real-time mode on, as it takes a second to upload that data from the PC to the ECU, hence the values not matching the table.
