How do I save maps. every time I open a new tune, i get the message; are you sure you want to close the currently open tune without saving?

and where do you save the TSP tune. i have it saved in my laptop under downloads. Whenever i want to access it to upload it I have to go open tune, downloads.

When you have a tune open, File>Save As.

Right, if you have a saved file you use File>Open to locate and open it.

But where do I save it? when i click save as, the ktuner folder opens and i cant save it there it says no more files. Do i create a new folder on my laptop on my desktop and save it there? and if i have made no changes to the because it is a locked base map, do i need to save it?

how do i access two maps while driving? i cant figure out the on the fly map switching

You can save anywhere you have permission to or create a new folder to do so.

If you have a tune that utilizes map switching the directions are in the help for how to use it.
