I haven’t bought the tuner yet but I want to know what happens to the selected map when I turn my car off?

My understanding is the tune comes with 3 maps that I can switch between. If I don’t leave KTuner in, the car will forget what map I was in and reset to map 1? If I leave KTuner in then it will remember?

And does that apply to both KTuner V1.2 and KTuner v2.0 the same?

Is there a way I can have it default to map 2 or 3 without leaving KTuner plugged in?
