Perhaps a dumb question, but quick reading makes it sound like KTuner can gather & log the CAN signals (brake pressure, steering angle?). I'm wondering if it's feasible for using that to output the streams to something like trackaddict or w/e for overlay building on track days? This would be in addition/replacement of the OBD2 signals.

That was the original usage. Unfortunately the CAN Gateway that's been added on all more recent model years will prevent this data from reaching the OBD port.

Gotcha, bummer. And I'd assume from the described functions that reversing efforts didn't find any easy way to view that bus info, even if the gateway prevented full access?

We only communicate with the ECU module, as adding more would slow datalogging immensely.
