Stock turbos blown up by my ktuners?

In another post, I was discussing some possible modifications I wanted to make to my 2.0 AT.
I saw that ktuner ecu tunes are a fairly popular upgrade, however he warned me that using the OEM turbocharger could blow my engine or turbo.
I don't intend to push it too hard or drag race it. While I never redline or slam it above the speed limit, I do use a little more force while braking off the line or pursuing people around the freeway. five nights at freddy's
Using stage 1 or stage 2 ktuner on a 2.0t AT with factory parts—should I be concerned? With a better intake and complete exhaust package, would it be better or worse? Many thanks in advance
