Motor swap a k20a2 into a 98 civic. End use ktuner ecu, no spark or fuel pulse while cranking. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

If you've disabled immobilizer then I do not have any other suggestions. See the data in logging for anything out of the ordinary.

I diasable the immobilizer and you can see the rpms during cranking. I put in a type r ecu and it fires up and stalls after few seconds, but I think that has more to do with my throttle body. I just want to know for sure if I have a bad ecu or something out of place.

If you can connect to the ECU and see live data the ECU has power and the unit is functional. Beyond that you'll need to track it down. If you switch to a different ECU make sure to unlock from that ECU first on the same laptop you intend to continue tuning with.

I can connect and see the led lights up green. Is there a difference in what tells the 05/06 ecu when to fire injectors and spark, versus the 04 type ecu? Thanks for the input

No. As stated on the RSX/Swap page all it takes to run the newer ECU on an older RSX is a jumper harness and O2 sensor.
