02-04 Transmission

Is there a wiring diagram out there for the VSS conversion?
I've seen a ton of post about how to make a 05-06 trans work in a 02-04 but nothing for the other way around.

I have a Ep3 5 speed and i cant find any info out there on how to get my speedo to work. I know i will need a converter box but i have no idea on what wires to splice into.

You wouldn't need to change anything because an EP3 is already wired up like an 02-04. If you look at an 02-04 diagram the VSS signal goes to the cluster and the ECU.

I have a 2006 Acura RSX and want to install a 02 RSX type-S transmission. Can I adjust vss to read the right way with my Ktuner?

On 02-04 the transmission signal goes straight to the dash, so you'll be without a speedometer unless you wire that up. You can get the ECU to read by checking the 02-04 box. There's also an adjustment if it's off.

Ok great thank you. And also they sell a jumper harness for Kswap cars. Would that fix the problem? And just need to check the 02-04 box. Thank you very much for the help.

I also want to install a 02-04 type s transmission in my 2006 rsx with ktuner but what I’m confused about is if I want the speedometer to work do I have to re wire the vss plug?
Or would I just checkmark the box for 02-04 transmission in ktuner?

Checking the box allows the ECU to see the speed, but will no longer output to the cluster. On an 02-04 RSX the VSS output is also wired to the cluster.
