Closed loop High/Low load threshold for lambda targets

Post by skftw »

I've been trying to figure out what the ECU considers high vs low load in regards to the closed loop lambda targets. For testing, I raised the closed loop disengagement targets to keep it in closed loop basically all the time. As far as I can tell, the ECU never considers the high load targets; even deep into boost it's chasing after the low target and pulling fuel out when it should be adding.

Does anyone know what the RSX ECU is looking for to determine high vs low load? It's definitely not the VTEC engagement, but it also doesn't seem to be related to TPS or MAP based on the logs. There's no AFR.CMD logged on this platform from what I can see so it's a little difficult to tell what the ECU is attempting to do.

Higher load or higher RPM/medium load is generally where it will consider higher load settings.

Is there a way to see where the ECU has the cutover between one or the other? Or is it just guess/log/check to figure out what it's doing?

There's not.
