Connection error

Post by MaxPayne42 »

So, I was having some problems with the vehicule when I turned it off for a 5 to 10 minutes and trying to start it back, first time it happened was at a drivein theater. The cars wants to start but it stalled by itself. The error code I was getting was P0087 so it's pointing fuel pressure. That was when the car was 100% stock. I've changed the battery since I saw a lot of people saying that it's a battery related problem. The problem never came for at least a month.

Now, I've flashed my vehicule with a tune and have a couple of mods, everything was working 100% but, yesterday, I forgot to get something after groceries so went back to start the car and he tried after one button touch to start but was not able to keep idle and was doing some wierd noise and finally died. I told myself I will wait an hour and see but, when I went back, the starter went on for like 10 seconds and the car never started or even ignite. FRom there I have a christmas tree on the dash, stuck in accessory mode.. Everytime I try to connect with Ktuner in that wierds Accessory mode, it says it can't connect to ECU and check the installation and try again.

I just want to be able to connect to the ECU while I can't start the car anymore to reflash to stock an unlock the ECU before sending it to Honda since I am damn sure my fuel pump just gave up.

I unplugged the battery as a try to connect but, now since it's a wierd accessory mode that asked me to press 2 times the start button that will fail ignition and power off.

I searched the Internet for answers but I can't seem to phrase it correctly to find the answer.

Using a Ktuner V1.2

Plz help

I must had that, I have the message: To start the engine depress brake+clutch+Push start but all the pedals are depress so that might be why it won'T get pass that accessory mode. No clue why this his happening, the clutch pedal does go up and down without getting stuck at the bottom. my brake pedal is ultra hard since ive pressed it without having the vehicule on. IF I hold both and press the push ill go into ACC mode, if I tap again, the system goes back asking me to depress clutch+brake and doesn't seem to go all the way off. If I do not touch the pedals, I get that message asking to hold down or press twice but ignition to close.

I tried jumping the car but not sure it really did something, I am bringing a battery charger tonight to recharge battery and see if I can go further with this.

I also have a steady blinking red exclamation point in the lower right of the dash underneath the fuel gauge car off or in ACC. Doesn't seem to be the key since I can open door with proximity and use buttons. the anti theft light seem to be on the left side and only flashes when I lock the vehicule. My electronic brake works also, I am able to lock it and unlock it and the vehicule will move if i let go the brake pedal.

Edit: Charge the battery during last night, was full this morning, still the same issue, car won't start and Ktuner on ACC mode is not able to connect. The starter doesn't even try to turn, I checked the starter fuses and it's ok. I'm getting more and more clueless of what is happening.

Unfortunately whatever issue you're suffering here is beyond what we can assist with. If you can connect to the unit without the vehicle connected or on then you should be able to connect to the unit with the vehicle in accessory mode as well.

I found the problem with some help. The problem was the fuel pump, The car was not going further then accessory mode cause the 15A fuse for the fuel pump was toasted. This fuse is needed for a connection to the ECU of the vehicule so that's why I was not able to connect with Ktuner. Putting a new fuse was making the car starts for a couple of seconds and the fuse was blowing again. Went to the dealer with this specifics steps while still having the P0087 code, they changed the fuel pump for free since it had a recall. For major problems on thoses fuel pumps Honda will dispatch the part but, if you are not having the code and the car runs fine, they won't do the recall since the part is still B/O in Canada.

Hope this might help someone having a similar problem.

Thx
