I'm aware they are tuned differently.

CMIIW. Shouldn't the Starter Factory calibration work the same as factory tune meaning if there is no issue with factory tune the stock starter factory should also has no issue?

I don't experience partial throttle knock control rise issue with stock Factory calibration and Stage 2 K-Tuner calibration. Stock Starter factory tune will bring my knock control increased up to 80% driving under 1400 RPM. This issue does not occur with Stage 2 and stock factory calibration. The partial throttle knock control rise issue affecting all starter tunes at stock render these starter tunes useless because they are already problematic at stock level.

I cannot do custom tune if the Starter Factory Calibration or any Starter Tune calibrations have issue at stock level. Would you mind sharing unlocked Stage 0 calibration so I can test and using unlocked Stage 0 as base for my custom tune?

You're saying different tunes don't run the same. Correct. They're different.

Our staged calibrations are locked so that you can't see what was changed, so no.

This is exactly the issue. Stock Starter Factory calibration may not be identical with the stock factory calibration came from Honda but stock starter factory calibration should have no partial throttle knock control rising the same as stock factory came from Honda.

However, stock starter factory calibration suffers partial throttle knock control rising but the stock factory from Honda does not. Staged calibrations do not suffer partial throttle knock control rising either but the problem these calibrations are locked.

Doesn't it mean there is issue with your stock starter factory calibration affecting my ECU software?

I can understand issue may arise when Starter factory calibration is altered but stock Starter Factory calibration should not have issues at all.

The starter calibrations aren't factory either. Factory starting point means factory boost levels. They're starter calibrations ready to adjust further if you want to.

Is boost target the only table the same with stock factory calibration in KTuner Starter Factory?

Would it be possible for KTuner to give a pure Starter Factory calibration meaning all of the tuning tables follow factory? This would be a great start to provide a calibration that works as perfectly as stock. Whichever ECU that you use as Starter Factory for 378205AGP830M1 ECU caused partial knock control raise below 1400 RPM in my ECU.

I have bought several custom tune services to mitigate this issues. These tuners are KTuner supporters but this partial knock control raise issue still persist. I have also had dealership and trusted workshop to check if there is any mechanical issues but issues were found. I think a Starter Factory calibration that works perfectly with no issue like stock factory would be a great start.

No, it's not possible. The factory starting point is as close to factory as you can get with a tunable file. If you want a non-tunable file that'd be returning to factory.

Do you mean I have no choice but to use the Staged calibration? Can you help investigate the problem with your stock Starter Factory and provide problem free stock Starter Factory calibration?

A tuner told me that I would only be wasting money purchasing custom tune service if KTuner cannot provide problem free stock Starter Factory calibration after he saw both dealership and Honda tuner engine checking report stating no mechanical and no ECU issue with my car.

I'll try saying it differently and this will be the last response on the topic. You can achieve the same results as the staged tunes by starting with a starter tune and tuning it.

I've been using custom calibration using Beta version since last Friday. The only tables I changed were Direct Injection Fuel Pressure target, Boost Target Normal, and Final Boost Target. I also changed quick adjustments.

I no longer have partial knock control below 1400 rpm issue. I changed Direct Injection Fuel Pressure target to Honda Factory default. No engine related issues so far but oil life indicator was blank and this is not a big issue.

Let me know if you want me to keep you posted.
