General Initial Install Questions

Hi. I finally ordered a Flash V2. I just watched two tutorials. So I'm clear, the sequence is:
1. download software onto home computer
QUESTION: I HAVE A PRETTY RECENT QUADCORE MACBOOK AIR WITH 8GB RAM SO I ASSUME USING PARALLELS IS OK RATHER THAN A FULL BOOTCAMP WINDOWS V11 INSTALL?
2. turn car on, plug in tablet, lock to that ECU
3. unplug tablet, turn car off, plug tablet into home computer, run Parallels, put software onto tablet
4. turn car back on, plug tablet into ECU again, reflash new software (probably Stage 1) onto car's ECU
ARE THERE ANY NUANCES HERE I'M MISSING THAT MAY CAUSE A DATA CORRUPTION ALONG THE WAY?
