Warning light after first flashing :(

Post by Prozento »

Dear Ktuner
Today I have tried my first flash and unfortunately it wasn't successful. I will describe all the process so maybe you can help me.
First of all on my computer I opened new tune and chose the BETA files (I have 2 lines under my car discription - one normal line and one the same but with BETA word added)
Then I added Stage 1, Stage 2 and a Dual-21-PSI map to the unit.
I not messed with any options but "Quick Adjustments" and "Basic 2-step".
Then, I flashed the ST1 to the car. The StartStop system warning appeared and kept flashing all the way. I tried to drive a little hoping it will disappear but no success.
I decided to flash the Dual-21-PSI map. After the flash process the StartStop system warning started to flash again (A letter flashing). I tried to read the error code: U129E.
Then I tried to drive a little again to feel the difference between the MAPS, but then Oil level light went on. At this moment I started to think maybe I am doing something wrong.
I went back to factory tune (StartStop system warning didn't appear this time and check oil didn't turned on either) and drove on a regular road for 25 minutes. Everything looks fine for now.
The oil levels looks fine too.
Temperature outside was 10-13 Celsius and the engine was warm when I started to flash maps.

Now the questions:

1. Should I choose the line without "BETA" near it, and maybe the tunes inside BETA are still not ready? (BETA has all the options while normal option doesn't have options at all)
2. If the first question is not the problem - how to solve the annoying StartStop warning light and why the Check oil level turned on?
3. Does it matter which oil I use? Last service I filled the 0W20 OEM oil. Maybe it too light for 21 PSI/tune overall?

Looking forward for your reply
Sincerely

You can choose the option without BETA if the BETA option is causing a code.

We have nothing to do with your oil light.

Wow, thank you for a ultra-fast response.
I will try the Non-Beta version later today.

Update:
I tried few things, and maybe this information will help you when making the update for this ECU.
First I flashed ST1 non-beta tune. Everything was fine and no Start&stop warning came up. I drove a little until all normal warning lights (acc etc) went off.
Then I flashed the Dual-21-PSI BETA version again. The Start&stop light came on again.
After that without even driving I flashed the Dual-21-PSI non-beta version (with most aggressive option - I have only 3 :( ). Again no Start&Stop light came on. Drove a little with some hard launching from stop or roll - everything looks fine. No oil lights too.
So as a conclusion(at least how I see it) - the BETA version for this ECU has an error code U129e of Start&stop version. So for now only non-beta version is useful (unless you dont care for the error).

Hope you will be able to update this ECU soon (37820-5an-e32)
Thank you again for the reply and for your work
Sincerely

Correct, the beta disables start/stop.
